The only downsides, which don't matter in my opinion since I don't textual content or use our phone for online, is that the phone will not be 3G and the tips are not good for sending text messages. There is no qwerty key pad or touchscreen in order to text with. The telephone also doesn't offer GPS, which I avoid using either.
If you're looking for a superb music phone, but not trying to find an advanced phone such as the iPhone, then the W580i is perfect! Until Sony Ericsson arrives with another cellphone that is comparable to brussels, I'm sticking with the idea until it dead... :0)
And HANDY Says:
I bought this cell phone Sony Ericsson W580i 2 years ago, and that i loved it for some time. I have had several problems with the battery over the past Two years though. After with regards to a year it would aimlessly turn itself off (no warning beep, that has a full battery). It would refuse to charge, saying there was a problem with the battery---I turned the phone off and then for again and it would probably charge for a time before saying there is a problem during getting once again. Now that my own contract is up, your screen has started rushing horribly. Sometimes I wouldn't receive my cell phone calls, my messages often take hours or even just days to show through my phone. I did a very basic strategy, making and obtaining calls ONLY---So I can not reply to the texting and the internet usage. I didnrrrt even use the walkman feature of this cellular phone, but I have used your headphones (one of which is positioned in an odd design on the cord, causing them to awkward to use). If you're searching for a simple cellular phone, I would recommend finding just one without all the features. On a more positive (even though shallow) note, it is possible to record sounds and use them as your ringer.
